Why Sugar Is Bad For Your Health?

Sugar is a staple part of the modern day diet, but believe me, it's bad for your health. Many of us know that it's bad for our teeth, and we kind of know that we shouldn't eat too much of it, but do we know why? Just why is sugar so bad for us? We're not just talking about the amount of sugar we mix into our coffee here.

The thing is with so many of the processed foods which make up our diets we don't even know that the sugar is there, we don't see it and we don't particularly taste it, but it's there and it's bad for us, especially when we start to over-indulge in the stuff. Surprisingly enough, food doesn't even have to taste sweet for it to be loaded with sugar, even items like white bread which are full of refined carbohydrates have a high sugar content.

If you take in more sugar than you burn off in energy it gets left in your bloodstream, hanging around looking for trouble to cause, and the sticky sugar particles actually start sticking to the cells. The bottom line is that if you eat more sugar than you need, pretty soon you'll get more wrinkles (thought that would get your attention), experience reduced mobility in your joints, it will make your hair and nails brittle and dry as well as a whole host of other health problems.

By reducing your daily intake of sugar you'll soon notice the difference in your complexion, your hair, your nails and your overall appearance. It's also a good way to reduce your weight. Eating too much sugar can also lead to problems with obesity which has a whole load of problems associated with it:

  • heart disease
  • diabetes
  • high blood pressure
  • risk of stroke
  • reduced mobility
  • arthritis - to name but a few.

By reducing your sugar intake and improving your diet in general (why not eat more fresh fruit for the natural sugar content, instead of all that refined junk food?) you will soon begin to feel the benefits, feeling healthier, looking younger and more radiant and your quality of life will soon begin to improve - and that's a promise.
